SBB Board of Directors Appoints New ChairmanBob Hansen, technical director for storage at NetApp, has been appointed the new chairman of the SBB Board of Directors succeeding Dr. William Dawkins, senior technology strategist in Dell's Office of the CTO. SBB at Storage Networking World - Fall 2008The SBB sponsored a booth at Storage Networking World (SNW) - Fall 2008. The SBB booth included a display of more than a dozen SBB-based controllers and several SBB-based chassis designs. The SBB-based controllers ranged from simple SAS JBOD controllers, to FC and iSCSI RAID controllers, all the way to sophisticated AMD and Intel-based server modules. The SBB specification is available for review and download in the SBB Specification section of the website. An SBB presentation and related SBB materials are available below.

SBB at Storage Networking World - Spring 2008The SBB sponsored a booth at Storage Networking World (SNW) - Spring 2008. There was a display of components/products from SBB member companies, which utilize the publicly available SBB 1.0 and 2.0 specifications. An electronic presentation about the SBB and its activities was displayed at the booth. CDs were distributed at the booth with that presentation, the SBB 1.0 and 2.0 specifications, and additional SBB material. SBB at Intel Developer Forum (IDF) - Spring 2006The SBB participated at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF), which was held March 7-9, 2006 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center West. The SBB's presentation on Wednesday, March 8, included a introduction to the SBB and initial technical information about the SBB specification currently under development.
